@john41262 Perhaps if he offered to put a larger focus of the budget on education then id feel comfortable. I mean, i don’t feel like we can afford to just slash costs because the federal government thinks Americans don’t value education. You can hardly expect better results by eliminating a hurting public resource with no alternative. That just digs us deeper.

Times change, but subsidizing our education system is not the answer to future prosperity and intellectual thinking. We are not a scholarly nation anymore…

@UNTC321 Now that we humans have increased the GHG content of the atmosphere temps will increase which will increase natural CO2 emissions. Consider the carbon cycle and our current role. We are disposing of about 1,000,000 years of earth-stored carbon into the atmosphere every year. This changes the atmosphere’s composition which increases its ability to retain heat which affects climate patterns. It also affects the oceans, i.e. Ocean Acidification. Interesting and dangerour issue.

It’s true, from what I read, that CO2 increases FOLLOW, temp increases in the geologic record (no humans). This gets very complex and the movie didn’t elaborate. As temps increased naturally (solar driver), natural CO2 emissions increased as a result. Humans are NOW a temp driver.

If you look at the chart of CO2 and Temp(the one Algore showed in his movie) expain co2 at it’s highest that is when temps fall and when co2 is at it’s lowest is when temps rise? The answer is: temp controls co2 not co2 control temp. What time of day is the hottest? What time of year is the hottest. Ans. when the sun is highest(with a lag).
