he really means to say she was able to “energize the BASEMENT of our party”
Liked the clip- like to keep abreast- but Romney most certainly did NOT struggle with the question. He knows he will be quoted, so he searches for the precise words carefully and his delivery appears unscripted… because it is!

I watched the vid–so where is the struggle? He answered positively. She is vastly more qualified to hold office than Obama. @mastershake99 He blinks at about the same rate through the whole time he’s talking, and the whole first part is true, common knowledge. Energizing people is what Palin was good at. Blinking a lot means you have dry eyes, probably from lack of sleep.
