This has turned into a bunch of rambles… but my main point is, I believe, and only believe if the child is ‘destined’ to be thrown into a terrible life by their parents and everyone around them to continue to the chain of poor abused/poor children, then let them have an abortion. Before they even have to experience such suffering.

But then again, I am considered weird for my generation, for which I blame the media *as always* But I just don’t fit in. And I don’t want to. But other people like me, who I am sure learned exactly what I did when I was young. Not only abstinence is the way, but also contraceptives and everything. But they still take the dangerous route anyway. It’s just…. how the world is. I can’t say it’s human instincts to what to have sex, though it might as well be.

The child is only going to suffer. Then their child will suffer as well. And so continues the trail of abuser after abuser and poverty after poverty here in America.
That is the only reason why I support abortion somewhat. Most people of course know the consequences of sex. But they are always going to do it anyway.I myself have been preached abstinence is the only way to ‘be safe’ and I’ve followed that. And it’s true, never have I had sex, never have I ever had any problems.

On the other hand, if one is on the opposite side of the financial matter, parents on the verge of being homeless, no stable income, and just the mentality that will only lead to child abuse and death, wouldn’t it be better to let the child not have to experience such pain? I would rather if you KNOW you can’t truly support that baby, and I mean its needs, like food, water, a place to stay and grow healthy, then you don’t need a child.

But you know, this is what I think is the most controversial part about abortion how how I and my family personally think about it. If your family is well enough, have the money to support a baby and there is no reason to abort it other than you don’t want it, then no, I don’t think they should be allowed to abort unless rape or abuse is involved.

@pennjersey83 American law says people in your country can. CAN. It’s the LAW. I live in a country where it’s illegal, which is irrelevant to me because I’d never need one. But it’s not my place to tell people what they can and cannot do. It’s the laws. And your law says they CAN.
